Hi I have a 96 honda orthia gs-x 2ltr 4wd auto has a n alarm installed used to work with the central locking on remote now find the central locking doesnt work and the rear tailgate will not lock or unlock by remote also 3 windows will not wind down have checked fuses and all good will not open manually either but the tailgate window will unlock and open manually cut a hole in the interior panel to have a look to see if an arm had fallen off the latch but all seems okay latch will not click to release seems to be like its permanently welded shut,latch seems okay as havnt damaged it at all,the latch should release manually surely,any ideas? apparently this is a common fault so i have been told although nobody has told me how to fix it I need to open tailgate for certificate of fitness,any help would be great regards Nick.
