Mitsubishi Pajero Problems

Engine turns over but will not start. Power 2 all of the vehicle and everything still works.
Hard to shift gear1989 Mitsubishi PajeroJay
Australia, New South Wales, Mount Druitt
I have a red 2-door Mitsubishi Pajero, it is 5 speed and 1989 model and takes petrol not diesel. About a couple of days ago i was finding it a little difficult to shift gears. The next day it got worse. It became very hard to shift gear. When i turned the car off sometimes i could seem to move the shift into gear without using the clutch??? Weird... im finding i have to use excessive force and also double to triple pumping the clutch to get me into gear. I feel the clutch also hasnt got the same friction it use to when changing gears? Like it seems easier to press the clutch down... Anyway, I wouldnt know where to start, is it a gear box problem or clutch problem??? Do i need some type of clutch fluid or something??? Is there some sort of test i can do to see what the problem is?? I dont have an owners manual and there are none online. PLEASE HELP ME!!?!
