I had a problem of not having drive, itvseems the chain in the gearbox has broken, it started as if the handbrake is on as if i was using number 3 gear

Nt shifting gears from 1st.Producing sound from gearbox,the sound similar to tht produced tyres scratching on fendors.this happens whn in drive and about to shift gears.Producing scratching sound,nt changing gears coupled with high revs.maximum speed 20km/hr.wht can i do?.
