Gearbox some time gears not changing or when i m driving speed it happens from gear number4 back to number 1 which my cause problem of my engine and i need CV-joint

Car starts well and get moving. After some times, gear fails to shift or change to 2 but remains stuck in gear one. When i park or stop for about 1 hour, it starts and moves on well again until after some long distance again then the same problem comes over again.
