My car rev counter now works intermittenly since a year or two ago. It has 253k on the clock and the meter has never been replaced before. Recently I find that using the first original ignition key rather than the second spare key, the meter experiences less failures. Do I have to replace the meter which would not be economic considering the age of the car.

My car has clocked 253k and I've replaced the shocks, the coil springs at around 228k. Recently I've also replaced the left shocks' bush which was damaged. Now whenever the car go over a sudden bump on the road a distict clucking sound could be heard coming from the left front of the car and none from the right. What is it that caused this annoying sound?
