It's a 1999 diesel and every so often the engine light comes on and won't rev say over 3000rpm and black smoke come out the exhaust this happens when running around town at low speed or if aircon is on have changed glow plugs as thought one may be faulty.

Have a high pitched screaming coming from dash at 65+kms unhooked speedo still doing it had on hoist and cant get it to do it its not brakes or engine related any help greatly appreciated cheers
