I have an Mitsubishi challenger 3L petrol. On low revelations my cat is surging quote badly and if the revs pick up above 3000RPM everything seems to be OK I have taken the car for service, new plus new fuel pump everything. Spending to much on this problem now any advice will be appreciated!

The car engine goes off when the car is stationery and in drive, and after sometime it goes off even in neutral. My mechanics tell me it a problem with the throttle body and the fuel pressure regulatory valve.
